It's almost time for the kids to be returning to school - how did the summer go by so fast? Now is a great time to think about taking some time for yourself. Time to finish up one or two of those UFO's that are lurking in the cabinet? Or perhaps it's time to begin a new project. Take a look at some of our classes and shop samples - perhaps you'll find just the right thing for you.
As requested, we've been remaking our Christmas Tree Quilt from last year in some beautiful new colors for this holiday season. Well, it's finally ready for you. The quilt is hanging in the shop. the kits have been cut and we just got the pattern back from the printers! We'll begin the workshops sometime later this month so you will have plenty of time to be finished in time for Christmas.

The next scheduled quilt show for the Tampa Bay area will be in October. The Brandon Piecemakers are busy making plans for their first show in many years. It will be nice to have a Fall show in the area.
Upcoming Classes and Workshops
Beginning Quilting: 6 week course for the new quilter. Class includes instructions on rotary cutting, piecing (including half square triangles), layering, quilting and binding. Learn the basics in a small class setting. Class begins Tuesday September 16th and runs for 6 consecutive weeks. $70.00 class fee plus $10.00 handout fee.
Beginning Hand Quilting: Make a small sampler while Marcia Layton guides you through this class. You will learn traditional hand piecing using templates to make straight and curved pieces. Marcia teaches Lap Quilting which is a portable, Block-by-block method of quilting. September 15, 22, 29 and October 20th. 10:00 - 1:00 $65.00
Christmas Banner - This is an easy fusible project for the holidays. Each ornament will take on a life of its own as you add beading and embellishments. Let Marcia show you how to complete this festive little banner. Aigist 13th or November 6th 10:00 - 3:00 $40 plus book
Wildflower Sampler Workshop - August 16th 10:00 - 2:00 Open to anyone participating in our BOM who needs a little help or is looking for a quiet place to catch up on the blocks! $10.00
Beginning Silk Ribbon - Join Judy Fernandez as she teaches you how to use our beautiful silk ribbons to make silk ribbon flowers. Judy only teaches this class once a quarter, so be sure to sign up early to reserve your space. September 20th 10:00 - 3:00 $35.00
A Heritage Christmas Workshop - August 23rd, September 13th , 27th and October 4th. Stay for a few hours or spend the day and work on your kit for our exclusive Heritage Christmas. We'll guide you through the various blocks and the applique to make this beautiful new holiday quilt. Classroom open all day for this project. Reserve you space. $15.00 per session.

Attic Windows the easy way!!! No "Y" seams here, just a fun and easy project. Check out our class sample hanging in the shop window (winter never looked so inviting!). November 5th 10:00 - 4:00 $40

Holiday Handprints with Marcia - Learn from the author! You will learn to make some adorable holiday handprint santa's and reindeer with Marcia. A great fun and messy class! November 11th 10:00 - 3:00 $40 plus a $10.00 supply fee.
